Floyd Shivambu’s public rupture with the uMkhonto weSizwe Party, Economic Freedom Fighters Member of Parliament Carl Niehaus has launched a scathing attack on Shivambu. Niehaus’s accusation comes after Shivambu fell out with the party. It has been stated that Shivambu, who had previously held the position of Secretary-General of the MK Party, is at odds with important people inside the organisation, including those who are close to Jacob Zuma, who served as president in the past.

His scorn for Shivambu’s recent complaints was expressed on social media by Niehaus, who has been a prominent critic of the MK Party and its leadership. Niehaus resorted to social media to voice his disgust. Niehaus stated in a post that he had previously cautioned Shivambu against identifying himself with Zuma and his political organisation. The article was written in quite a forceful manner.

“I cautioned this scoundrel. Having finally come to his senses, he now shouts out in a victimised manner. I have absolutely no compassion whatsoever for this opportunist in whatsoever way! He is destined to endure pain! Niehaus also penned. It is only fair that he and the Nkandla family business should be together… Both of them are able to go and jump.

The story of Shivambu’s departure from the MK Party comes after the party has been plagued by charges of factionalism and internal disagreements, both of which have been reported. The political movement, which has been striving to consolidate power in preparation for the next elections for local government, looks to have further widened the gaps between itself as a result of his clash with Zuma’s inner circle.

Niehaus’s remarks are the most recent in a string of political jabs that have been traded between individuals who were once allies but have since become adversaries. Over the course of his political moves and shifting allegiances, Shivambu has come under increased scrutiny, despite the fact that he was formerly considered a rising star within the ranks of both the EFF and the MK Party.

Political observers have observed that the EFF and the MK Party are becoming increasingly tense with one another, particularly in light of Zuma’s sudden comeback to the political arena and the MK Party’s stronghold in the political sphere.

Despite the fact that the competition is becoming more intense, there are still uncertainties regarding the future of opposition politics in South Africa. Power conflicts, egos, and loyalty tests are dominating the nature of the environment.

In the time that this article was being published, neither Shivambu nor the MK Party had provided an official response to Niehaus’s statements.
