The Department of Higher Education and Training’s university programme has received an unqualified audit, reflecting strong financial management.
Minister Buti Manamela praised the achievement, noting that robust financial controls contributed to the success. He highlighted that 39% of SETAs received unqualified audits without findings, 25% with findings, and 93% submitted their financial statements on time.
Manamela said the results demonstrate ongoing efforts to strengthen financial governance in the higher education sector.
