The Inspector General of Intelligence (IGI) has recommended that National Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Fannie Masemola face charges for violating procurement laws.
This follows the approval of a R120 million property purchase by Crime Intelligence, which the IGI says did not comply with procurement processes. Authorities are reviewing findings, and the recommendation could lead to formal disciplinary or criminal proceedings against Masemola
