The number of deaths in a crash on the N2 in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) has increased to six after the truck driver involved in the accident was confirmed dead.
The collision, which happened Saturday morning between Amatikulu and Dokodweni, involved a car and a truck. Initially, five people—three men and two women—were reported dead.
KZN Transport MEC Siboniso Duma said rescue teams found the truck driver’s body later in the afternoon. Meanwhile, a separate crash in Limpopo has also seen a rising death toll.
Authorities are investigating both incidents.
