At just 24 years old, Buntu Petse is making waves as one of South Africa’s brightest young talents on Generations: The Legacy, where she plays Nontle Majola—a driven high school student tackling real-world issues like climate change alongside her best friend, Melokuhle.

Petse’s character is navigating the universal struggles of teenage life while paving the way for a compelling post-high school storyline. But Nontle isn’t her only role—she also portrays Mpho Phakathi’s ex-lover, adding emotional depth to her growing repertoire.

When asked about her favorite character, Petse revealed her fearless approach to acting: “I’m not picky—any role that challenges me is welcome because it helps me grow,” she said in a recent interview.

Off-screen, Petse radiates positivity and has a simple yet powerful message for young people: “Let go of the past—it only brings sadness. Don’t stress about the future—it only brings anxiety. Take each day as it comes and show up for yourself.”
