After much speculation online, DJ Black Coffee, whose real name is Nkosinathi Maphumulo, appears to have confirmed his relationship with model Victoria Gonzalez.

The pair first sparked romance rumors in 2023 when photos from their safari trip circulated on social media. Months later, they were seen together in public for the first time at the opening of luxury fashion brand Amiri’s first South African store in Sandton City.

Gonzalez, who is from Venezuela, recently shared a series of Instagram posts that seemed to be from her time in South Africa. She captioned the post, “From Africa with love.” Black Coffee responded in the comments with “Cariño,” a Spanish term of endearment meaning “darling” in English.

The second photo in the post showed the 49-year-old DJ wearing a white t-shirt and what looked like yellow sunglasses.

In a 2024 interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG, Black Coffee spoke about his personal life, stating that he has no plans to remarry following his 2019 divorce from South African media personality and actress Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa.

“Today, I know for a fact I won’t get married again. I’m clear about that because I am now in a better space in understanding who I am,” he said.

He also reflected on the reasons behind their separation, explaining that they gradually grew apart and began wanting different things.

“I think I can safely say we both started wanting different things. If I can’t say we, I’ll say I did. Over time we started wanting different things, and problems start,” he shared during the interview.

Black Coffee and Mlotshwa were married for eight years and share two children together. Since their split, Mlotshwa has also spoken about their separation, including the legal challenges she faced in proving their traditional marriage in court.
