The South African Police Service (SAPS) has thrown its support behind KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, following a surge of criticism linked to his efforts to dismantle organized crime in the province.

Resistance to such efforts is expected, but these measures are vital for restoring law and order,” said Mbele.
