Bapedi Prime Minister Ngoako Ramathlodi made a striking appearance at the Economic Freedom Fighters’ (EFF) 3rd National People’s Assembly (NPA) over the weekend, bringing a message of cultural pride, unity, and collaboration for South Africa’s future. Representing the esteemed Bapedi Kingdom, Ramathlodi’s participation underscored the growing alliance between traditional leadership and political movements advocating for radical transformation.

Dressed in traditional Bapedi regalia, Ramathlodi stood out among the red-bereted EFF members. His address blended cultural wisdom with political insight, urging the EFF to uphold the principles of justice, equality, and inclusivity. He emphasized the pivotal role of traditional leadership in fostering socioeconomic development and stressed the importance of dialogue between political and cultural institutions.

“The Bapedi Kingdom stands with those who fight for the dignity of our people. The struggles of our forebears remind us that unity is our strength,” Ramathlodi declared, earning widespread applause from the assembly.

The Prime Minister’s speech also touched on key issues such as land reform, the preservation of indigenous languages, and safeguarding cultural heritage—common priorities for both the Bapedi Kingdom and the EFF. His presence highlighted the shared commitment to addressing historical injustices and advancing a more equitable South Africa.

EFF leader Julius Malema expressed his gratitude for the Bapedi Kingdom’s support, calling Ramathlodi’s presence a powerful gesture of solidarity.

“We are honored to have the backing of the Bapedi Kingdom. Together, we will build a South Africa that is just and prosperous,” Malema said.

The 3rd NPA, which celebrated the EFF’s growth and milestones since its founding, was further enriched by Ramathlodi’s inspiring words. His appearance added cultural and historical significance to the event, resonating deeply with attendees and reinforcing the bonds between traditional and modern leadership structures.

Images from the event captured Ramathlodi addressing the crowd, engaging with EFF leaders, and receiving an enthusiastic welcome from supporters. The collaboration between the Bapedi Kingdom and the EFF signals a continued effort to unify diverse leadership in pursuit of South Africa’s transformation.
