Prominent Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Member of Parliament Dr. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has reportedly been prohibited from attending the party’s elective conference next month. The decision has sparked intense speculation about the EFF’s internal power dynamics and leadership succession plans.

According to **Sunday World**, sources within the party allege that Ndlozi’s exclusion is a calculated move to prevent him from being considered for the Deputy President position. Some senior leaders reportedly fear that Ndlozi’s popularity among delegates could disrupt the leadership slate preferred by the party’s top brass.

Ndlozi, who was the EFF’s founding national spokesperson and remains one of its most recognizable figures, has not commented on the decision. However, his absence is expected to significantly influence the conference’s dynamics, given his substantial support base within the party.

Political analysts suggest the decision reflects broader concerns within the EFF leadership as it seeks to maintain cohesion ahead of the 2024 general elections. Ralph Mathekga, a political analyst, remarked: “The EFF is known for its centralized leadership style. Ndlozi’s exclusion may indicate a strategic effort to avoid internal conflicts that could weaken the party’s position going into the elections.”

The decision has drawn mixed reactions. Some supporters see it as a pragmatic measure to ensure stability, while others view it as a suppression of internal democracy. A senior party insider told **Sunday World**: “There are concerns that allowing Ndlozi to attend the conference could disrupt the carefully crafted leadership plan. This decision was made to protect the party’s stability.”

Ndlozi’s absence comes amid reports of growing tensions within the EFF leadership. The party is under pressure to demonstrate unity and resolve internal disputes as it prepares for the critical general elections. The upcoming conference is expected to shape the EFF’s strategy and solidify its positioning as South Africa’s third-largest political force.

Whether this decision will achieve the intended stability or fuel further dissent remains uncertain. As the conference approaches, all eyes are on the EFF’s leadership to see how it manages internal dynamics while gearing up for the challenging months ahead.
