South African entertainer Zodwa Wabantu is allegedly at the center of an assault investigation following an incident at KwaKhehla tavern in Delmas, Mpumalanga. The altercation reportedly involved social media influencer Tebogo Makgoba, known online as Afrodolllight, who claims Zodwa attacked her last weekend.
Makgoba took to Instagram to recount the alleged incident, saying, “I was attacked by @zodwalibram in Delmas for what, I don’t know. I’m so traumatised. She broke my braces and cellphone. I’m so defeated. Zodwa is too old, guys.”
According to a source close to the matter, police in Mpumalanga are actively searching for Zodwa, who is reportedly evading authorities. Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Capt. Makhosini Nkosi, confirmed that a case of assault and malicious damage to property has been opened. “We [are] investigating the matter, and we can’t name the suspect as they haven’t been arrested,” he said.
Attempts to reach Zodwa for comment have so far been unsuccessful. The police investigation is ongoing, and further developments are awaited as authorities continue their search.
