MK Party Leader Slams Jacob Zuma as ‘Bitter and Isolated,’ Calls for New Direction

  • Jabulani Khumalo of the MK Party criticized Jacob Zuma as a “bitter old man” whose resentment, particularly toward President Ramaphosa, hinders his judgment.
  • Khumalo alleged that Zuma’s hostility and personal grievances isolate him from the party, impacting his ability to contribute positively to South African politics.
  • Khumalo warned that Zuma’s leadership could damage the MK Party’s value to the country, as internal conflicts overshadow national priorities.

In a recent interview, Jabulani Khumalo, a prominent MK Party member, delivered a strong rebuke of former South African president Jacob Zuma, describing him as “a bitter old man” whose ongoing grievances cloud his ability to think clearly. Khumalo attributed Zuma’s alleged resentment toward President Cyril Ramaphosa as a significant source of his frustration, suggesting that this animosity has compromised Zuma’s judgment and isolated him from key party members, leaving many South Africans surprised by the harsh critique.

Khumalo warned that Zuma’s bitterness could have lasting negative effects on his life and legacy, stating that he might “die bitter and grumpy” if he does not release his grudges. According to Khumalo, Zuma’s lingering issues from the past have only heightened his animosity toward Ramaphosa, making it difficult for him to engage constructively within the party and beyond.

Khumalo’s remarks also pointed to deeper rifts within the MK Party, suggesting that Zuma’s focus on personal conflicts, especially with Ramaphosa, detracts from the party’s mission to serve South Africa. He argued that the MK Party’s alignment with Zuma’s grievances undermines its potential to positively impact the country, calling for a leadership shift that prioritizes national needs over individual disputes.

Jacob Zuma is a bitter old man.

He is going to die bitter & grumpy

He doesn't think straight because of his anger on everyone.

There is no one who hates Ramaphosa more than Zuma in South Africa. His mind can no longer function soberly.
