EFF Accuses DA of Racially Biased Pact with Afriforum in Tshwane, Demands Immediate Reforms

In a tense parliamentary session today, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) accused the Democratic Alliance (DA) of a covert, racially biased arrangement with Afriforum in Tshwane. The EFF alleges that the DA granted Afriforum access to city infrastructure without a democratic mandate, enabling them to deploy security forces selectively, based on race. The EFF’s revelations have spurred strong reactions, with calls for immediate reforms and transparency from Tshwane’s incoming leadership.

According to the EFF, this alleged “racist pact” allowed Afriforum to influence city security and management in ways that marginalized certain racial groups. They criticized DA leadership in Tshwane, specifically Mayor Cilliers Brink, for fostering an environment where such alliances could flourish, potentially prioritizing private interests over community welfare.

The EFF representatives claim that this partnership sought to stifle service delivery protests through racially targeted security measures, framing it as a serious threat to democratic principles. “This collusion gave Afriforum control over public resources, undermining democratic processes and disregarding the rights of marginalized communities in Tshwane,” said an EFF spokesperson.

Today in the Parliament of South Africa the EFF exposed the racist pact between DA and Afriforum to provide security in Tshwane for racially segregationist purposes and to use racist force against service delivery protests.

The EFF has called on Tshwane’s future administration to dismantle what they see as a “rot” within city governance, emphasizing that reversing this alliance with Afriforum is crucial to restoring transparency, equality, and public trust.

The DA, known for its advocacy of equality, has yet to respond to the accusations. Meanwhile, the issue has sparked widespread debate among residents and political analysts, likely impacting ongoing discussions on governance, representation, and community rights in South Africa.
