Zuma Urges MK Party Members to Uphold Discipline, Avoid Insults Against Political Rivals

MK Party Deputy President John Hlophe has revealed that Party President Jacob Zuma has called on members to maintain discipline and refrain from engaging in personal insults, particularly directed at individuals from other political parties, such as the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). Hlophe shared these remarks during a party gathering held at Mariannridge Community Hall, Ward 13, in the eThekwini Region on Sunday.

Hlophe emphasized Zuma’s message about the importance of upholding high standards of conduct among party members, as it reflects on the party’s integrity. “President Zuma has made it clear that we are a party of discipline, and we should not engage in unnecessary fights or insults with other political organizations or individuals,” Hlophe stated.

Under Zuma’s leadership, the MK Party has emerged as a growing force in South Africa’s political landscape, positioning itself as a disciplined alternative to other prominent parties. Although the MK Party often finds itself at odds with the EFF on key national issues, Hlophe stressed that disagreements must be managed with respect and professionalism.

“Our focus should be on serving the people, not on personal battles with other parties. We must be an example of how a disciplined party operates,” Hlophe added, reiterating that MK Party members must stay focused on the movement’s objectives and not get distracted by verbal altercations or attacks on fellow politicians.

The MK Party continues to expand its presence in regions like eThekwini, and Zuma’s leadership has been pivotal in shaping the party’s policies and public image. Party members at the gathering applauded Zuma’s call for discipline and committed to upholding the party’s values as it seeks to distinguish itself on South Africa’s political stage.
