“I Refuse To Be Fooled By Jacob Zuma, My Leader Is Malema” EFF Member Hits Out

A vocal member of the Economic Freedom Fighters has publicly rejected any suggestion of joining the political party formed by Jacob Zuma. In a statement, the EFF member expressed unwavering loyalty to Julius Malema, the current leader of the EFF, dismissing the prospect of being “fooled” by Zuma or his political movement.

The MK party has garnered attention due to its association with Zuma, who continues to wield significant influence among certain political circles. Despite this, many in the younger generation of voters, particularly within the EFF, appear skeptical of Zuma’s return to frontline politics.

“Jacob Zuma cannot fool our grandparents, our parents, and again fool us. Never. I refuse to be fooled by him, and my leader is Julius Malema only,” the EFF member declared, drawing a clear line between Zuma’s legacy and the new direction young political activists are taking under Malema’s leadership.

Zuma, whose tenure as president was marred by allegations of corruption and political controversy, has maintained a loyal following, especially among some older voters. His formation of the MK party is seen as an attempt to consolidate his support base. However, within the EFF, a party known for its radical approach to economic reform and strong anti-corruption stance, many have rejected Zuma’s political tactics as a relic of the past.

Julius Malema, the firebrand leader of the EFF, continues to galvanise young voters across South Africa. Under his leadership, the EFF has grown to become one of the most vocal opposition parties, pushing for land reform, economic justice, and the empowerment of marginalised communities. Malema’s vision appears to resonate more with the youth, who view Zuma’s return to politics as an attempt to revive old political narratives.

With the political landscape shifting in South Africa, the divide between Zuma’s followers and Malema’s supporters highlights the generational and ideological splits within South Africa’s political scene.
