“We Are Building A Solid Movement” Shivambu Brags About MK Party

MK Party national organiser, Floyd Shivambu, has bragged about the popularity of party across the country. This comes as it is establishing itself in Limpopo province.

Shivambu, who has been a key figure in the EFF since its inception, expressed excitement about his political home. “We are building a solid national movement which is already a force to be reckoned with! It’s No surrender! No retreat,” he said. His remarks hint at his determination to build a political force that he believes will have a major impact on the South African political scene.

The move has raised eyebrows, particularly because of the historical rivalry between the EFF, which was formed as a breakaway from the African National Congress, and Zuma’s controversial tenure as president. Zuma, who remains a divisive figure in South African politics, is known for his populist appeal among certain factions within the ANC. His involvement in the MK party appears to be attracting figures like Shivambu, who have expressed disillusionment with their previous political homes.

As the MK party is gaining momentum, it remains to be seen how it will fare in the country’s competitive political environment. However, with Shivambu’s departure from the EFF, the movement appears to have secured a notable political figure in its ranks.

Today we had an opportunity to take @MkhontoweSizwex leaders and members in Limpopo Province on the #MKPConstitution! We are building a solid national movement which is already a force to be reckoned with! It’s No surrender! No retreat! Operation #BuyelaEbantwini! pic.twitter.com/cYnHqiwXop
