In a shocking incident in Johannesburg, Sergeant James Lesiba Serota, a member of the Anti-Gang Unit, is alleged to have fatally shot his 40-year-old wife before attempting to take his own life.
The tragic event occurred in Windmill Park EXT 28, where the sound of multiple gunshots alarmed nearby residents, who swiftly alerted the Dawn Park police.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered Sergeant Serota critically injured but still alive, while his wife was found deceased in their home. She had reportedly been shot 12 times.
Sergeant Serota was immediately rushed to Thelle Mogoerane Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
