Samthing Soweto has admitted to lying about Phori ‘s contribution in his music to boost sales.
He said he paid DJ Maphorisa even though DJ Maphorisa did not actually produce any of his music.
He clarified that he mainly worked with other producers like Mas Musiq, Howard, and Kabza De Small.
By using DJ Maphorisa’s name to sell records, Samthing Soweto acknowledged that he sacrificed his creativity and dignity.
Despite the success in sales, he regretted not getting fair payment for his work and feeling like DJ Maphorisa took credit for his achievements.
