The funeral of Dr. Zamambo Mkhize was a somber affair, attended by colleagues, friends, and family who gathered to pay their respects to a dedicated physician whose life was tragically cut short. Dr. Mkhize, a respected member of the medical community, had left Edendale Hospital, now known as Harry Gwala, for a routine lunch break one day. However, she never returned, sparking concern among her loved ones.

Her husband’s desperate search led to the discovery of her lifeless body, cruelly hidden in the boot of her car. The news sent shockwaves through the community, leaving many grappling with disbelief and sorrow.

At the funeral, heartfelt eulogies painted a picture of Dr. Mkhize as a compassionate healer, devoted wife, and cherished friend. Colleagues remembered her professionalism and tireless dedication to her patients, while friends spoke of her warmth and kindness.

As mourners gathered to bid their final farewells, there was a palpable sense of loss and injustice. Dr. Mkhize’s untimely death served as a sobering reminder of the fragility of life and the urgent need for justice to be served. Though her physical presence may be gone, her legacy as a healer and a beacon of light in the community will endure.
