The authorities of South Africa police must work tirelessly to ensure that their officers who are actively on duty are well trained and they follow the laid down rules of engagement that governs the institution.

The South African police is a reputable institution which must ensure that officers working under them act professionally at all times. The mental health of some officers should also be prioritized by the leadership of the institution to prevent chaos.

Checking the mental health of police officers is crucial for several reasons. First, law enforcement officers face high levels of stress and trauma in their line of work, which can take a toll on their mental well-being. Regular mental health assessments can help identify issues early and provide necessary support to prevent more serious problems from developing.

In a recent development, it’s been gathered that a Durban metropolitan police department officer has been stabbed by a colleague to death.

Apparently the male suspect stabbed the female officer on the chest and left the knife dangling while allegedly recording the incident with his phone.

The incident happened in the early hours of the morning at Anleigh Court along Victoria Embarkment.

Report had it that the duo were in a relationship and the deceased lady was expecting a baby fathered by the suspect prior to her demise.
