On Sunday, 28 January 2024, the lifeless body of Eunice was found with multiple gunshot wounds along Rita gravel road at Thornhill Estate. A case of murder was opened at Sebayeng police station and an intensive investigation was launched.
The investigation led to the arrest of a 25-year-old male at a residence in Botlokwa, the suspect led police to Dalmada Plots where a 33-year-old male, a red VW Polo and an unlicensed firearm believed to have been used during the commission of the crime were seized.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the 25-year-old suspect was paid a substantial amount of cash for the murder of Eunice.
Both suspects appeared before Mankweng Magistrate court on Friday, 8 March 2024 to face charges of murder, possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition. They were remanded in custody.
