The internet was abuzz as a video depicting a physical altercation between Shebeshxt and an individual resembling popular amapiano artist JazziQ circulated. However, JazziQ has stepped forward to dispel any confusion, clarifying that he was not the person involved in the altercation with the controversial Limpopo artist.

Acknowledging the video during an interview with Zimoja, JazziQ expressed surprise at the misidentification circulating on social media. He revealed being inundated with calls and messages from people seeking clarification. JazziQ emphatically stated, “That was not me in the video. I saw it on social media as well. We have a resemblance with the guy but it was not me, fortunately.”

In response to inquiries about potential future collaborations with Shebeshxt, JazziQ commended the controversial artist’s music, describing it as a “breath of fresh air” and a representation of the diverse layers of music in South Africa. Despite the physical altercation incident, JazziQ expressed admiration for Shebeshxt’s cultural contributions.

JazziQ confirmed having met Shebeshxt previously and highlighted their association during JazziQ’s homecoming event on December 16, 2023. He praised Shebeshxt’s musical style as refreshing and emblematic of the varied musical landscape in South Africa. This confirmation effectively quelled rumors circulating on social media linking JazziQ to the altercation, eliciting relief and gratitude from his fans.

Known for his distinctive music style fusing house, amapiano, and jazz, JazziQ enjoys a massive following in South Africa and has collaborated with numerous industry musicians. The clarification from JazziQ highlights the importance of accurate information in the age of social media and the potential consequences of misidentifying individuals in sensitive situations.

When approached for a comment on the incident, Shebeshxt’s spokesperson, Kholofelo Chuene, responded, “No! he doesn’t want to talk about that video.” This stance adds an air of mystery to the incident, leaving some aspects unexplored as the aftermath continues to unfold on social media platforms.
