Setlaboswane, a serene village just outside Ga Masemola, found itself at the center of shock and disbelief as the community witnessed a brazen Cash-in-Transit heist unfold on a peaceful Monday afternoon. The audacious crime left residents bewildered, with the aftermath revealing a level of sophistication that few could have anticipated.

The incident occurred when a cash truck, en route through the village, was targeted and bombed by a group of criminals. The assailants, driving Ford Ranger and Isuzu bakkies, swiftly executed their plan, leaving the community in a state of panic.

What added to the astonishment was the fact that the heist transpired without causing harm to anyone. In a community where crime is typically unheard of, the sudden intrusion of such a high-stakes criminal activity left Setlaboswane residents grappling with the surreal nature of the event.

Eyewitnesses recall the swift and calculated actions of the perpetrators, who managed to escape with an undisclosed amount of cash before law enforcement could respond. The quick getaway, coupled with the choice of powerful vehicles, underscored the meticulous planning that went into orchestrating the heist.

Perhaps equally surprising was the delayed response from the local police force. Residents were left waiting for an hour and thirty minutes before authorities arrived at the crime scene. The extended response time raised concerns among the community about the readiness and preparedness of law enforcement to handle such incidents, prompting calls for increased security measures in the area.

Local authorities have initiated an investigation into the heist, focusing on identifying and apprehending the criminals responsible. Setlaboswane, once known for its tranquility and close-knit community, now faces the challenge of recovering from an incident that has shattered its sense of security.
