It may have been totally unrelated to the breaking news surrounding her ex-husband, Black Coffee, but Enhle Mbali has been questioned by the timing of a social media post.
In it, the actress and mother shared her joy about seemingly receiving good news.
On Wednesday evening, representatives of the DJ – real name Nkosinathi Maphumalo – released a statement that he had been injured in an accident on a flight.
The extent of his injuries is unclear.
ENHLE MBALI’S IG STORY RAISES EYEBROWS
Amid the news of his accident, Enhle Mbali shared several Instagram Stories reacting to various reels she had watched.
However, one – about watching a little baby show off his drumming skills – had the internet doing a double take. Although innocent enough on its own, her caption of the reel – and the timing of it all – appeared ambiguous to social media users.
“Best thing I’ve heard this year,” Black Coffee’s baby mama posted.

On X, users had mixed feelings about Enhle’s post.
@sbo19darkeauty: “If the post is about Black Coffee, it’s so unnecessary.”
@mo_hahanwa: “Imagine celebrating an accident that involved the father of your kids
@nwagbo_nelson: “She should be cancelled”.
@sizwemkhiz32937: “How do we know this post is about Black Coffee? Let’s not jump to conclusions”.
BITTER SPLIT FROM BLACK COFFEE
Once a power couple, Black Coffee and Enhle Mbali’s bitter public split is sadly well-documented
In 2019, the couple split after tying the knot in a traditional wedding in 2011.
Enhle would later accuse the DJ of emotional, verbal, physical, and financial abuse. She also accused him of gaslighting her domestic violence experience. To add insult to injury, the entertainer previously admitted to being unfaithful during their marriage.
However, Black Coffee drew the line at being called an abuser. Speaking to Podcast and Chill last year, he also claimed he would never marry again. He also claimed he sought therapy over the breakdown of his marriage.
In 2022, he encouraged men to seek professional help for their mental health.
