A PEP store in Johannesburg CBD was robbed by eight armed men who took off with a bag of cellphones. The South African Police Service (SAPS) was alerted and arrived at the scene to investigate. They contacted their partners at Capital Air, who deployed Reaper Tactical, a specialized unit that uses drones and other advanced equipment to track down criminals.

Reaper Tactical used their drones to scan the area and locate the getaway vehicle, a quantum van, parked in the Jeppe area. They coordinated with JMPD Undercover, a unit of the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department that operates in plain clothes and unmarked vehicles, to approach the van and apprehend the suspects.

The officers surrounded the van and ordered the occupants to exit. Upon searching the vehicle, they found the bag of cellphones that had been stolen from the PEP store. They arrested six suspects and took them to Jeppe Police Station for questioning and processing. Two suspects are still at large and are being hunted by the police.

The suspects are facing charges of armed robbery, possession of stolen property, and possibly more, depending on the outcome of the investigation. The stolen cellphones have been returned to the PEP store, which expressed its gratitude to the police and Reaper Tactical for their swift and effective action.

This case is an example of how the police and private security companies work together to combat crime and ensure the safety of the public. Reaper Tactical and JMPD Undercover have been praised for their professionalism and skill in recovering the stolen goods and arresting the suspects. They have also demonstrated how technology can be used to enhance law enforcement and fight crime in the modern era.
