The issue of vehicle hijacking has become a serious problem in South Africa which must be addressed as soon as possible to avoid further escalation. The issue has become a constant occurrence, forcing vehicle owners to seek for alternative means of transportation to avoid being victimized.

The South African security operatives has put in a whole lot of effort to tackle this menace but the issue keep spiraling out of control.

In a recent development, a team from the National Command Centre’s resources and Fidelity Secure Drive’s chopper successfully recovered a stolen Toyota Fortuner in Boksburg after a Malawian national was seen traveling with the said vehicle in an attempt to smuggle it down to Zimbabwe.

The vehicle was already repainted from its original color as at the time of the arrest and the occupant of the vehicle has been paid by a leader of a criminal syndicate to move the vehicle from South Africa into Zimbabwe where it will be sold.

It’s very important for citizens to stay informed about the latest trends and methods used by criminals during vehicle hijackings. Local law enforcement agencies and community organizations often share valuable safety tips and advice. By implementing these precautions and spreading awareness, we can work towards reducing the risk of vehicle hijackings and ensuring the safety of individuals in South Africa.
