Senzo’s Murder: Hidden Truth Revealed As Meyiwa Bank records leaves The Court Surprised

Suspect in the murder of Senzo Meyiwa, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi, claims he was at work the night in question. Evidence suggests he confronted the victim shortly before the murder. However, recent discoveries have called into question this conclusion.

Bank records show that between October 25 and October 28, 2014, Bongani Sandiso Ntanzi did not make any withdrawals from her savings account. Despite Ntanzi’s assertions to the contrary, the information presented here indicates that he was not in KwaZulu-Natal on business at the relevant periods.

Prosecutor George Baloyi submitted this financial information to the Pretoria High Court on Wednesday. Ntanzi is one of five defendants on trial for the 2014 murder of famed player Senzo Meyiwa. Two trespassers reportedly confronted Meyiwa at Vosloorus.

Defence attorney Sipho Ramosepele argued that the prosecution’s use of financial documents constituted an illegal search. Nongoma’s financial operations on October 25, 2014 were investigated by Ramosepele, who found discrepancies between the books and Ntanzi’s assertions. Also mysteriously disappearing was Ntanzi’s ostensibly ceremony-related Capitec Bank loan.

The bank person in charge of these papers has indicated that he or she is available to appear in court. Ntanzi’s former attorney, Tshepo Thobane, claims that on the morning of October 25, 2014, Ntanzi left work and travelled to KwaZulu-Natal in order to pay a lobola on his wife’s behalf.

Ntanzi stated at his bail hearing last year that he was working in a mine in Rustenburg on the day Meyiwa was murdered. Hendrik Mulder, the human resources manager of Sibanye-Stillwater, spoke out against this on Tuesday. According to Mulder, the murder victim’s coworker Ntanzi only put in two hours of work the day before he was murdered. He was not at work that day since he had taken a day of personal absence without pay.

Ntanzi returned to work on the evening of November 2 after taking the day off.
