Showmax has officially announced the commencement of filming for the second season of their popular drama series “Adulting”.In March 2023, the initial season achieved a remarkable milestone by garnering the highest number of first-day views on Showmax compared to any other drama series.
The show follows the journeys of four best friends residing in Johannesburg. Even though they’ve taken different life paths since their college years, their strong bond remains unwavering. As they grapple with the challenges of adulthood, such as searching for love, striving for success, and uncovering the finest nightlife spots in Jozi, they turn to each other for laughter and support.
“Adulting” is the brainchild of Tshedza Pictures’ Phatu Makwarela and Gwydion Beynon, a duo renowned for their remarkable scriptwriting skills, having secured five Best Scriptwriting SAFTAs over the last four years for hit series such as “The Republic” and “The River”, which even received an International Emmy nomination. Their second Showmax Original, “Outlaws,” currently holds the title of the most-watched series on Showmax, with new episodes airing on Wednesdays.
