Khama Billiat, a former star for the Kaizer Chiefs, is on the verge of making his comeback.
Billiat, who has scored 97 goals in the PSL, is one of the deadliest forwards in league history.
Since his departure from the Chiefs, he has been without a club for over three months.
Cape Town City FC is reportedly interested in the 33-year-old. The Cape club’s manager, John Comitis, has expressed his enthusiasm on reuniting with Billiat.
Longtime friends Comitis and Billiat first met in 2010 when Comitis brought Billiat to Ajax Cape Town from Zimbabwe as the club’s owner.
Ajax, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Kaizer Chiefs have all benefited from the quick forward’s torment of opposing defences since then.
At Sundowns, he reached his full potential and in 2016, he was named PSL Footballer of the Season.
According to Soccer Laduma, Billiat will join the Citizens’ training camp next week.
