Mrs Smenyiwe Majola, who is known as MaMzimela (27), from Bucanana in Empangeni, after marrying her husband, Mr Thami Majola (30), who passed away last year.
She entered the square on the day of the funeral with her husband’s body, and they danced to keep the tradition of this traditional wedding as it was the day they were supposed to get cmarried.
Talking to the source ILANGA, Mrs Majola about what happened to her – she lost her husband three days before they tied the knot – she said that it was her greatest wish that the marriage continue even after the death of her husband. According to the source the wedding was supposed to be on the 10th – which was the day Mr Majola was finally buried. Mrs Majola said that she does not know where she got the courage not to cry a lot when she was in the square as pictures of her crying as if nothing had happened.
“According to tradition, the marriage is not annulled, but because I also wanted to marry him, that’s why I saw no problem in going ahead with the marriage. ” Before I got dressed in the morning, preparing for the wedding, I first had a very difficult day. She revealed that she had been in a relationship with her husband for four years, they had not yet had children together.
Recounting what happened to her husband, she said:” He just fainted in our house, and when i opened the door to check what was going on, and he was the only one. It is still very difficult for me to accept that he is no longer in the world and we could no longer live the life we wanted,” she said.
