The South African political books of history were re-written on Saturday when the Economic Freedom Fighters were celebrating the party’s 10th year of existance, Fighters from all around the country had to do away with their own program as they travelled to Johannesburg at the FNB stadium, buses were organised to transport everyone who wanted to be part of the historical celebration at the 94 000 seater stadium, it was packed to capacity and the stadium was painted red.

The EFF’s Commander In Chiefs Julius Malema delivered the 10th year anniversary speech and he mentioned one of the party’s main objective when they are voted into power in the next elections, he said once they take over the Gauteng Province, the first thing they are going to do is to expel the crime fighters who are popularly known as Amapanyaza, these are the people recently hired to fight crime in the townships.

Malema made it clear that once his party is in power they were fire all those who are in green overalls since they believe that proper procedures were not followed when they were hired, he said they got the jobs because they are the people who do the campaigns for the African National Congress during elections, he clearly said that they should be told that their time is over since the EFF is coming for the next year.

“When we take over Gauteng next year, all. Those people hired by Panyaza [Lesufi], the so called Panya Panya, we are going to expel all of them because they are not properly hire, they are hired because they are members of the ANC, they are hired because they are campaigners of the ANC, tell them your time is over when you meet them in those oversize overalls, you must tell them, it is over, the EFF is coming next year,” he said as the followers cheered.

The Amapanyaza have been trying their best to reduced the rate of crime in the townships, their presence has been felt and there is a huge difference, however, despite the fact that the rate of unemployment is high in the country, Malema is threatening to make the 6 000 people jobless and send them back to poverty only because he does not support the idea and because it is the idea of the rulling party which he is always criticising, 2024 elections will bring a lot of change in this country.
