Chiefs Explains Absence Of Newly Signed Striker

Striker Ranga Chivaviro’s absence from Kaizer Chiefs pre-season friendlies has been noticeable and the club’s head coach Molefi Ntseki explained why he missed a few.

Ranga Chivaviro is the only striker the Soweto-based giants added to their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign in the July transfer window to date.

The window will soon be closed, but there is still time to add more strikers to the squad, especially with Gabadinho Mhango being linked to Chiefs.

However, as of now it is only striker Chivaviro who has signed for Chiefs in the transfer window. Despite signing for Amakhosi in the current open window, he missed the friendlies against Young Africans and Township Rollers.

It was evident that Kaizer Chiefs football club did indeed needed a quality striker against both teams as they lost both matches against their two oppositions.

The absence of Chivaviro was noticeable and Molefi Ntseki has provided an explanation of why the former Marumo Gallants star did not feature.

When Ranga joined the Soweto-based giants he came in with an injury issue which required attention and time to heal before he could get going with Kaizer Chiefs.

The club felt he needed the time off to heal instead of them taking the risk of using him and then not have him available for when the league starts next week.

The recovery is going well at the moment and he should be available for the clash against Chippa United on the opening match of the club’s 2023/24 campaign.

Chivaviro was a house on fire last season in front of goal for Gallants and his presence could have been useful for Chiefs in their pre-season defeats.
