Today the EFF is celebrating its 10 year anniversary at the FNB Stadium in SOWETO and despite achieving a great milestone people will always find a way to draw out controversy from a good cause.
While EFF leader, Julius Malema, was giving his speech, a certain Twitter user pointed out that the device he was using to deliver his speech to the crowd was an iPad Pro 12.9 inch which costs R35 599. In the very same image he tagged that ‘CAPITALISM IS EVIL’ ‘WE FIGHT FOR THE POOR’.
The user wanted to point out the controversy, however their argument doesn’t hold. There’s nothing wrong with keeping up with the latest gadgets as long as they will be used to make one’s job easier. Was Julius Malema supposed to use a Mobicel tablet that was going to give him problems while delivering his speech? Just because someone is a political leader it doesn’t mean that they can’t have access to fancy things. As long as it’s their own money they use, it’s not a problem. What are your thoughts on this matter?
