Missing: Khama Billiat resurface on social media after Kaizer Chiefs Statement

Former Chiefs player Khama Billiat marked himself ‘found’ after he posted a story on his official Instagram account.

The 32-year-old winger was reported to be missing in action on Saturday afternoon.

In a statement, Kaizer Chiefs said they tabled a new offer for Billiat to extend his contract, but he had not responded to the offer or any attempts to contact him.

BILLIAT POSTS ON SOCIAL MEDIA BUT BLUETICKS CHIEFS

“Following the expiry of attacking midfielder Khama Billiat’s Kaizer Chiefs contract on 30 June 2023, the Club tabled a new offer for the Zimbabwean marksman to remain with Amakhosi. However, to date, the player has not responded to the offer or any attempts to contact him,” Chiefs said.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, the former Zimbabwean international posted a story written ’00:00′ and a praying emoji suggesting that the player was in deep prayer during midnight.

Billiat is now a free agent after his contract expires last month and it’s clear he’s not rejoining Chiefs.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns man could find himself going to the Middle East should local teams fail to sign him in the next coming weeks. Last week, reports emerged that Chiefs offered Billiat a new contract but with a salary drop. This could be the main reason why the former Mamelodi Sundowns winger is missing in action and not wanting anything to do with the Soweto giants.

If Billiat wants more money, then a move to UAE, Saudi or even China should be on his mind right now.
