Kaizer Chiefs coach Molefi Ntseki may not have seen the league fixtures yet, but he is already aware of the team’s first challenge in the upcoming MTN8 tournament. The highly anticipated clash will mark Ntseki’s debut as the head coach of the team.

While the start of the DStv Premiership season is still weeks away, the MTN8 tournament will kick off earlier. The fixture draws immense attention due to the massive following of Kaizer Chiefs, one of South Africa’s most popular football clubs.

After finishing fifth in the previous season’s league table, Kaizer Chiefs will face Cape Town City, the team that secured the fourth position. The encounter is scheduled to take place in the first week of August, following the traditional calendar of the Premier Soccer League (PSL). However, specific details such as the exact date and venue are yet to be announced.

This initial fixture presents an important challenge for Ntseki and his team as they aim to start the season on a positive note. With the weight of expectations from the passionate Kaizer Chiefs fanbase, Ntseki will be focused on preparing the squad to deliver a strong performance against Cape Town City.

As the countdown to the new season continues, football enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the clash between these two formidable teams. The MTN8 tournament serves as an exciting curtain-raiser, setting the stage for what promises to be another thrilling campaign in South African football.
