Eric Mathoho: Tower Working Hard On His Fitness To Keep Fit As He Remains Unattached To Any Team

With the 2023/24 season fast approaching, teams are busy with their pre-season training, some have gone to other countries where they have organised to play friendlies with stronger teams so that they can measure their strength ahead of the new season, players are moving around from one team to another where they were offered contracts, some have found the opportunities to join teams of their dream while others were let go since they were deemed surplus and their contracts were never renewed, however, some who left their former teams are still unattached to any team so is Mulomowandau Erick Mathoho who was released by Kaizer Chiefs after his contract was not renewed.

Mathoho who is still clubless at this point has been linked with a couple of teams since his exit from Naturena, he spent literally the who of the 2022/23 season between the bench and the stands, he never saw much game time under coach Arthur Zwane, he was not in his plans and he proved that by not giving him any minutes under his belt, however, Mathoho has not given up, he is yet to hang-up his boots and is clearly ready for another challenge.

The former Bafana Bafana defender who is still playing his cards close to his chest about where he will be playing next season has been busy training on his own over the past couple of days, he has been posting videos on his social media platforms where he was filmed working hard on his own, he is clearly determined to keep fit so that when the next team knocks on his door, he does not start from zero on his fitness level.

Mathoho has been linked with teams like Sekhukhune United, SuperSport United and TS Galaxy, but as it stands, it remains to be seen where his next destination is, at 33, he probably still have a couple of years to play.
