We are living in a world where some say not having a gun is risky, but nowadays many people have a gun for safer purposes because the crime rate in our country is so high that it makes one live uncomfortably. In the past two days, there has been a trending story of a Johannesburg metro police officer who was killed by a SAPS officer. He was shot dead as a way of self-defense.
According to what we saw on the video, the SAPS officer was sitting in the car while the JMPD officer was outside the car trying to find a way to reach the SAPS officer so that he could beat him.
The JMPD officer’s name is Sibusiso Zikalala. Sibusiso was holding a gun while his friend was trying to block his way so that he didn’t shoot or beat the saps officer. Within a minute, the saps officer pulled out a gun and shot Sibusiso several times, as he does right there at the scene. This video has been trending all over social media, with people having different opinions on who was wrong and who was right.
Following all that, the young brother of Sibusiso Zikalala, who goes by the name of Sipho Nhlapho, broke the silence about the death of his brother. He described Sibusiso as one good man who was so dedicated to his work and protecting society. He said Sibusiso had been a member of JMPD for almost 20 years, and all those 20 years he was serving and protecting society every day, even when he was off duty. He also described him as a loving brother and a family man who would do anything to make his family happy.
He also said Sibusiso was married, and he made him his best man at his wedding out of the love that the two shared. Through his Facebook post, you can tell that Sibusiso’s death will leave a hole in everyone’s heart in the family; he even shared some of the pictures and videos of Sibusiso playing with his family and kids. May his soul rest in peace, and may God give his family members strength to deal with this difficult situation.
