A former premier soccer league (PSL) coach has been shot and killed on Sunday 11 June.
A former Chippa United and Royal AM coach, Mike Lukhubene has been shot at Cape Town during ugly incident that took place at the Coke Cup tournament on Sunday afternoon.
Lukhubene is no stranger to the South African football fraternity after he had a stint with the two dstv Premiership sides, Chippa United and the kwazulu-natal side Royal AM.
The coach also made his name by winning the ABC Motsepe League with Steenberg and Zizwe.
According to reports there was a gun incident that took place that involved two men at the Coke cup and one of those man was the coach, Lukhubene during a match where his side, Tottenham competed.
Reports suggest that the two men were both declared dead on the scene
The details of the incident remain unclear however it has been confirmed that the coach has been shot and killed.
Lukhubene’s death comes just after a day following the passing of a legendary coach, Clive Barker who passed away due to a long illness and the South African footballer fraternity is still mourning his sudden passing.
