The rate of unemployment in South Africa is very high, people are unemployed and are encouraged to start small businesses that will help them generate an income which will keep them going and able to afford to buy basic needs, some sell vegetables at street corners, some sell fast food and many other items, some would even sell small items like sweets and cigarette so that they can at least go home with something at the end of the day, but some go to an extreme and they end up selling drugs even to small kids, but these ones have landed in trouble with the law and the people of Alexandre after selling space cookies to primary school learners on Wednesday.

Reports emerged on Wednesday suggesting that a number of learners from Emfundisweni Primary School were rushed to the hospital after they started feeling sick, this was after they bought suspected spaced cookies from the sellers on the road, but the community members did not leave that as if it did not happen, they took it upon themselves to protect kids and went to the streets to get the culprits arrested so that the streets could be safe for the children.

According reports, street patrollers managed to apprehend two men who are the one who allegedly sold the cookies to the learners, they arrested them and handed them over to the cops for a formal arrest.

“Alexandra street patrollers have arrested two men for allegedly selling space cookies to primary school children. On Wednesday, a group of pupils from Emfundisweni were rushed to hospital after eating the cookies sold at R1.00 each,” reports suggests.

These guys deserve to rot in jail, they don’t deserve to live with human being for what they did, they knew very well that their cookies were mixed with drugs and yet they continued selling them to kids, they community should have dealt with them before handing them over to the police.
