The Democratic Alliance (DA) will have to tighten up a few ends if they want to go head-to-head with their biggest arch-rivals African National Congress (ANC). Even though every political party has its own pros and cons, but the people will always choose someone who can connect with them in different types of levels to their leader. As long as you have people management skills then you’ll be able to lead others. Now, it came as a shock when one of the DA leaders decided to post a video online about their resignation. This has posed questions about the current mood within the party and if certain officials are pleased to be part of the DA.
Oh well, the Mossel Bay DA councillor Anco Barker has resigned with immediate effect from her occupation and she’s no longer associates herself with the political party. This comes after a few years in office, but after doing some soul searching she realized that they blues actions were not aligned with her integrity. Anco was part of numerous committees in Mossel Bay which proved that her work was crucial within the community. She was part of infrastructure services, community services, financial services and corporate and governmence services.
Within the video that was posted online she stated that she took an oath that she’ll be faithful to the republic of South Africa, in terms of service delivery and other things that include leadership within the Mossel Bay municipality. She also, said that the DA hasn’t been putting the Mossel Bay people first, as they’ve been allegedly been holding information from the community. Also, they’ve been reportedly bias, unfit and no transparency in their approach. Barker stated that she’s expecting a smear campaign to try to silence her as she’s exposing the wrongdoings of the DA.
