Former Eskom executive, Matshela Koko has argued that the ANC secretary general, Fikile Mbalula may have to step aside following the case which is being pursued against him by the opposition.
AfriForum gave the hawks an ultimatum to investigate whether the money used by Fikile Mbalula on his trip to Dubai were proceeds from money laundering.
This case has been hanging over Fikile Mbalula’s head, and now it seems like it is starting to gain momentum. Matshela Koko argued that former ANC secretary general, Ace Magashule might be following this case closely to see how the ruling party will deal with it.
“ANC may not have the secretary general soon. That is if the Freedom Front Plus has its way. Mbalula may have to step aside. Let’s see what Gerrie Nel is up to. The bull dog is on a mission. I am convinced that Ace Magashule is watching with keen interest,” said Matshela Koko.

There is an old adage which says that “each dog has its day”. It seems Fikile Mbalula’s day has finally come to be held accountable, the same way he has been calling for comrades like Ace Magashule to be held accountable.
What is interesting to note is that many ANC comrades who portrayed themselves as upright, actually have skeletons in their own closets. It is only a matter of time before their own are exposed.
“He was celebrating when they came for Ace Magashule, now they are coming for him. They will take them one by one with their scandals. They must really be shaking wherever they are,” said a social critic.
Currently, ANC heavyweight and premier in Eastern Cape province, Oscar Mabuyane is battling to have an investigation into degree scandal set aside. He is one of the comrades who are alleged to have obtained their qualifications through fraudulent ways.
