Suspended public protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane has congratulated advocate Dali Mpofu after successfully appealing a court ruling.

A legal team led by advocate Dali Mpofu managed to successfully appeal the Supreme Court of Appeal judgment. This matter was heard at the Western Cape High Court.

It is also stated that advocate Dali Mpofu was representing public protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane on this matter pro bono. This victory is one of those that Mpofu never talk about. His critics only make noise when he loses a court case.

“Congratulations to the legal team for this successful leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Appeal judgement advocate Dali Mpofu,” said advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane.

Reacting to this court development, Nkosentsha Shezi, the secretary general of the African Radical Economic Transformation Alliance said he is proud of Busisiwe Mkhwebane for her resilience in fighting against injustice.

“Congratulations Public Protector. We are proud of you and the revolutionary resilience and tenacity. So many people would have sold out, but you remain true to the course,” he said.

“Being granted a leave to appeal under such biased circumstances is a victory on its own. Congratulations to you and your team mama,” said a social critic.

ANC comrade, Nathi Sithole argued that ANC benefited nothing from the removal of advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane from office and voting in favour of the motion to proceed.

“ANC as a ruling party had nothing to benefit by removing advocate Mkhwebane, the state had nothing to benefit. The people of South Africa had nothing to benefit, criminals ganged against her.

Sadly the whole witch-hunt was supported by Luthuli house on behalf of mattress thugs at state expense,” said Nathi Sithole.

Many do agree that the issue of advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane was not handled in a proper manner as her opponents wanted her out of office by “hook and crook.”
