In the realm of South African politics, an ongoing power struggle has captured the attention of the nation. At the center of this storm are David Skosana, the husband of Busisiwe Mkhwebane, and Busisiwe Mkhwebane herself, the former Public Protector. The couple has been employing various tactics to impede the s194 inquiry, but their efforts are likely in vain. The inquiry, set to resume this week, carries significant weight and implications for Mkhwebane’s future. With critics labeling their actions as desperate, some even speculate that Mkhwebane’s impeachment may be imminent.

Busisiwe Mkhwebane, a lawyer by profession, was appointed as South Africa’s Public Protector in 2016. The role of the Public Protector is to investigate allegations of misconduct, maladministration, and corruption within the government. However, Mkhwebane’s tenure has been riddled with controversies and accusations of bias, leading many to question her credibility.

David Skosana, the husband of Busisiwe Mkhwebane, has emerged as a significant figure in the battle to protect his wife’s position. While it is not uncommon for spouses to support each other, Skosana’s involvement in this case has attracted criticism and suspicion.

Skosana and Mkhwebane have been employing various strategies to derail or delay the s194 inquiry. These tactics have included legal challenges, accusations of political bias, and claims of unfair treatment. However, the opposition parties leading the inquiry have remained resolute, dismissing these attempts as desperate moves to evade accountability.

The s194 inquiry represents a critical juncture for Busisiwe Mkhwebane, with her husband, David Skosana, playing a prominent role in the battle to protect her position. However, their attempts to obstruct the inquiry are expected to be in vain, as mounting evidence and court rulings have cast serious doubts on Mkhwebane’s credibility. As the inquiry resumes this week, all eyes are on the outcome, as it may determine the future of the Public Protector’s office and potentially lead to Mkhwebane’s impeachment.

This is the vile David Skosana, husband of Busisiwe Mkhwebane, on the right. They are trying every trick in the book to stop the s194 enquiry from proceeding. That won’t work. The enquiry is expected to resume this week. The last kicks of a dying horse! She will be impeached! https://t.co/HLMBrgSOjG pic.twitter.com/u6cMevti78
