Dr Nandipha Magudumana’s father, Zolile Sekeleni was seen arriving at the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court with a team of lawyers.
Dr Nandi’s father is currently out on bail, but today he is making an appearance along with the other accused. He had a murder charge withdrawn, but there are still other charges including that of defeating ends of justice and helping an inmate to escape from prison.
As he was coming to court, he was seen walking confidently with a team of lawyers who are also representing her daughter, Dr Nandi Magudumana.
Reports coming from the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court are that Dr Nandi and Thabo Bester may not be appearing physically, but will attend the court session virtually.
The court was expected to have started its proceedings early, but the delay in the matter is that they are still trying to establish a link with Dr Nandipha Magudumana for her virtual appearance. Her lawyer and the State Prosecutor have confirmed this.
Thabo Bester will also be appearing virtually. This development has however left many fuming. South Africans said it seems prisoners have more rights to do as they please compared to law abiding citizens.
Social critics are asking themselves what is so special about Thabo Bester and Dr Nandi Magudumana that they could not appear physically in court today.
“Crime offenders really have more rights than ordinary citizens who are free. They call the shots whenever they feel like it,” said an outraged social critic.
“Wow so many exceptions made for these two individuals. The drama is the same as that of the Khumalo family”.
Dr Nandi Magudumana’s father, Zolile Sekeleni who was seen arriving at the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court was granted R10 000 bail. He seemed to have been in good spirits compared to the last time he was in police custody.
