The Hawks Serious Organised Crime Investigation team based in Limpopo arrested 22 year old Miranda Thandaza Lubisi (pictured above) on a charge for fraud, and she was sentenced by the Polokwane Specialised Commercial Crimes Court.
According to the Zebediela Voice news report, Miranda visited a dealership in Tzaneen and applied for vehicle finance for a Hyundai Atos valued at R346 122.39, shortly after being approved the vehicle was delivered to her house.
The Bank was audited and it was discovered that Miranda used fraudulent documents to apply for a vehicle finance, the Hawks launched and Investigation and the accused was arrested and detained in jail on a charge for fraud.
On Friday, 12 May 2023 the accused made an appearance in court and she was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment which is suspended for 5 years, with a condition she does not commit similar offences.
