President Cyril Ramaphosa made a huge mistake yesterday, after he came out to encourage former Eskom CEO André de Ruyter to submit his evidences of corruption within his cabine to the police or other law enforcement agencies.

Meanwhile, mzansi were left in shock after Cyril Ramaphosa stated that he couldn’t investigate his own ministers as that responsibility lies with criminal investigators, meaning that no matter the crimes committed by his ministers, he is obligated to ignore them if the Hawks cannot find any evidence against them. This statement is a big mistake that might come back to haunt Cyril Ramaphosa and his cabinet.

Remember that two weeks ago, De Ruyter came out with claims that a senior-ranking politician was involved in the looting and theft at Eskom but refused to name the politician for legal reasons. De Ruyter told Ramaphosa’s national security adviser Sydney Mufamadi and Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan about this high-ranking politician. However, the Hawks, SAPS, and the Special Investigating Unit declared that De Ruyter didn’t share the name of the politician concerned with them.

On the other hand, Ramaphosa is saying that if there is someone with information on ministers or politicians implicated in corruption at the power utility, they must come forward with evidence. According to the President, corruption at Eskom needs to be backed up by evidence, and this must be handled by the appropriate bodies whose job is to investigate and charge people. But how do whistleblowers find evidences that have been perfectly hidden by the ANC and their associates.

The issue is corruption in South Africa is growing worser by the day with whistleblowers being allegedly targeted and killed by the ruling party. Mzansi, what are your thoughts concerning President Cyril Ramaphosa’s speech? Do you think he is in on the Eskom corruption scandal, or is he just trying to protect his cabinet and political career? Tell us what you think about this and don’t forget to like, comment and share this article let’s get more reactions on this topic. Follow The_Crime_Scene for more updates on this topic.
