In Tzaneen, a man was robbed of R110,000 in cash while waiting for his car to be washed. The victim had withdrawn the money from the FNB Tzaneen branch and was waiting at the Downtown car wash when a tall, light-skinned African man got out of a Mercedes Benz and shot him in the leg with a firearm. The suspect then stole the victim’s money and fled the scene.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The police in Tzaneen have opened a case of armed robbery and are investigating the incident. Sergeant Maurice Nkwashu, the Tzaneen SAPS communications officer, urged anyone with information about the crime to come forward and contact Detective Warrant Officer Makhubele at the provided phone numbers.

This act of armed robbery is a heinous crime that has caused harm to an innocent man. The victim was simply going about his day when he was attacked and robbed of his hard-earned money. The suspect’s use of violence and force to take what does not belong to him is unacceptable and criminal. It is important that the police work diligently to investigate this crime and bring the perpetrator to justice.

We hope that the victim recovers fully from his injuries and that the police are able to recover his stolen money. Crimes like these cause harm to individuals and the community as a whole. It is crucial that the police and the community work together to prevent and solve such crimes. We must all stand together and condemn such violent and criminal behavior. Meanwhile, South Africans on social media are of the opinion that some FNB cashiers are giving criminals information on who to attack and steal from. Here are some of their comments;
