Yesterday, on the 26th of April 2023, the former South African power utility Chief Executive Officer Andre De Ruyter appeared before the SCOPA in the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa even though he was virtually.
This is were he gave the SCOPA committee more details on the accusations he made before he got fired from Eskom in February 2023.
Former Eskom Chief Executive Officer Andre De Ruyter told Scopa he had given the name of the senior politician implicated in corruption to Gordhan, National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola, and President Cyril Ramaphosa’s national security adviser Sydney Mufamadi.
Andre De Ruyter indicated that he reported the identity of a high-ranking politician as well as individuals he referred to in his interview as allegedly involved in criminal activities in Eskom to even president Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa’s security adviser Sydney Mufamadi but nothing happened.
