Andre de Ruyter, the former CEO of South Africa’s award-winning energy company, Eskom was poisoned with cyanide-laced coffee months before he made corruption charges against the ruling African National Congress (ANC).
As per a Financial Times report, the 54-year-old executive could’ve lost his life in what was a clear attempt to murder.
It is believed that the poison was in his tea which he was drinking while he was at his office in Johannesburg, Gauteng province.
It is not a secret that the former Chief Executive Officer Andre De Ruyter had made powerful enemies within the African National Congress as he raised concerns of corruption and implementing some of the leaders.
He had alleged that four mafia-like crime syndicates were operating inside the government-owned Eskom.
Now it has been reported by News24 that the former African National Congress and the Republic of South Africa Deputy president Paul Mashatile is behind the poisoning of the former Eskom Chief Executive Officer Andre De Ruyter.
Democratic Alliance leader John Steenhuisen once identified former deputy president David Mabuza as the cabinet member allegedly involved in corruption at Eskom.
