Shoplifting in South Africa is a serious problem that affects both small and large businesses across the country. It is a criminal offense that involves stealing goods from a retail store without paying for them.

The crime can be committed by anyone, from teenagers to adults, and it is punishable by law. In South Africa, shoplifting is a common crime that contributes to the high levels of theft and crime in the country. It is estimated that the retail industry loses millions of Rands each year due to shoplifting.

The South African Police Service (SAPS) takes shoplifting seriously and has put measures in place to combat the crime.

Speaking of that, there is a trending video of five girls who were arrested after they were caught stealing sneakers and clothes at Thavhani Mall. According to an eyewitness, this lady may enter a shop and act like they are looking for something while others are stealing what they want.

They ran out of luck after one of the staff members at Tekkie Town noticed what they were doing and called the police for them. When the police arrived, people were already gathered outside the shop so that they could witness the arrest.

The 5 girls were handcuffed to each other, and they left with the police. Some were hiding their faces, and some were arrogant and swearing at people who were taking their videos; one of them even went to the extent of slapping a bystander who was taking a video.

Judging by their physique, these girls look like they are in their early twenties. They must be university students since there are no Zulu-speaking people in Limpopo.

In conclusion, shoplifting in South Africa is a significant problem that affects retailers and the wider community. It is important to take steps to prevent shoplifting and for the authorities to enforce the law to deter potential offenders.
