South Africa’s deputy president Paul Mashatile allegedly paid about R210 000 for the silence of his former girlfriend.
Gugu Nkosi was allegedly assaulted by Mashatile’s advisor Keith Khoza and the money was for her silence.
Nkosi also alleges that Mashatile bribed her with R210 000 to not speak to the media about the alleged gender-based violent (GBV) incident perpetuated by his alleged fixer.
Nkosi is famous for revealing a can of worms about her alleged relationship with Mashatile in which she attested that they dated.
She divulged that Mashatile married another woman without telling her yet they were dating.
Nkosi opened the case at the Sandton Police Station last week. In a police statement, which we have seen, Nkosi alleged that she was assaulted by Khoza at Mashatile’s Joburg home on November 26 last year.
Mashatile was sworn in as the deputy president earlier this year and he is tipped next in line to become the president of the country.
